She gazes into the shimmering divide between sky and ocean. It is blinding, but marvelous. 

A warm breeze caresses her face. It gives her comfort, renewing her resolve. 

She takes a deep breath, then turns around. A narrow path stretches in front of her, made of glass and reflecting the waves lapping against it. 

She knows it is not safe to traverse. Even the lightest misstep will shatter the path and send her into the eternal waters. 

But, this is no matter. There is nothing else to lose.
